The Customer acknowledges and agrees that iZigg Mobile is merely a service provider and does not directly compose or send messages on the Customer’s behalf.
Consent to Receive Texts: iZigg requires subscribers (healthcare providers) to obtain consent specificall yfor text messages. This opt-in consent must include a description of the type of messages that will be sent and the approximate frequency of those messages, ie: “Patient consents to receive up to 3 messages per week including appointment reminders and account information.”).
Patient Consent to Include PHI. Remain HIPAA compliant by not including patient health information (PHI) in your messages. However, patients can still receive their medical information by text if they give your office express written consent. iZigg Mobile requires you to document consent and inform the patient that text messaging is not secure.
Informed Opt-Out: When a patient opts in to messaging, they should receive a welcome message including the option to “Reply STOP to opt-out.” This instruction is required by law and therefore must appear on every message. It is your responsibility to ensure that you are fully compliant, so please be sure to check all relevant industry and carrier regulations.
